Industry Social and Engagement Activity - March 13 and Educational Programming - March 14
Make plans to join School Nutrition Professionals from around WI for the SNA-WI, 2019 Spring Conference! We are all trying to go for the Green and Gold or positive fiscal outcomes as we work through our budget and financial plans. How can we improve our outcomes and our planning to continue to sustain and grow our meal program? Join us in March to work through your own budget worksheets and learn about tools and tips to improve your process. More program details coming soon! Draft program objectives below.
By the conclusion of the SNA-WI Spring Conference, attendees will be able to:
- Understand financial practices as they pertain to DPI requirements.
- Recognize sound financial principles and concepts.
- Make long and short term goals that will ensure sustainability of child nutrition programs.
- Discuss School Nutrition financial management information systems.

SNA-WI Education Committee is pleased to welcome the following presenters for our 2019 Spring Conference:
Doreen Treuden - Deerfield Community School District
Doreen Treuden is currently the Business Manager for the Deerfield Community School District and previously was the Food Service Director for Deerfield and the School District of Jefferson. She holds an Associate Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Cookery from Madison College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Lakeland College, a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Master’s Degree in School Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Loriann Knapton - State of Wisconsin, Department of Public Instruction
Loriann Knapton, NDTR, SNS, has been a Child Nutrition Programs Consultant for the State of Wisconsin since 2004. Previously, she was the Food Service Director for a small school district in southwestern Wisconsin. As a training consultant and special dietary needs specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Ms. Knapton develops and provides professional standards training on a variety of topics to Wisconsin’s school nutrition professionals and has been invited to present on various topics at several state and national conferences, regional meetings and school districts.
